The board has diode protection to allow you to connect the Teensy to USB and the Euroshield to rack power at the same time. This is a common approach for situations like this where there may be two power sources. No need to worry.

Hello Aaron. You're implying that it's possible to plug the USB cable to the Teensy while the Teensy is mounted onto the Euroshield powered one. Wouldn't that be powering the Teensy twice: through the USB cable and through the Euroshield? In the Radio Music DIY kit, it is required to cut the USB power trace if the user wants to use USB power and Eurorack power at the same time, so as not to overpower the Teensy. https://github.com/TomWhitwell/Radio...sb-power-trace

I recommend that you power down the Euroshield when plugging and unplugging the Teensy module. On the other hand connecting/disconnecting the USB to the Teensy and reprogramming it can safely be done with the power on.

Just to make certain....when plugging in and uploading a sketch into the Teensy, the module power should be ''off', correct?
Working...
