Subscription Confirmation Email Not Received

I tried several times to subscribe to the email notification service on the website, using the Community/Subscribe menu item. I am able to get as far as the "Confirm you're not a robot" page. It asks me to "Check your inbox or spam folder now to confirm your subscription.". I have done this several times, using different email addresses provided by different email services, including GMail and Posteo, but I have not received the confirmation emails and also cannot find them in my Spam folders.
