  • Midi out via USB?

Loving the Blackbox. Such a simple but powerful sampling machine. I'm having a problem though sending midi out via USB. Is this possible? Sorry if this has been discussed already.
    Thanks
    Simon

I was trying to figure this out too today and it was not clear to me.

So I should not expect a controller connected to "Device" usb port to send note/trigger midi info to the Pads/Keys? I have been successful with the standard midi ports, but was hoping to use a KorgnanoKEY directly to the BB (nanokey not having midi din).

      Thanks.

Yes, you can plug a USB MIDI device into the Device's usb-A port. I do this with the Sensel Morph. You'll also need to go to Tools/Info/MIDI IN and enable MIDI input.

okay so we mis-understood probably . the HOST port (small and long one) of course hosts a midi device like a midi/usb controller/keyboard but not hubs currently.
the other usb jack is, as i mentioned, only for power currently.

Thanks all - I updated BB firmware, configured various things on both BB and controller and got what I wanted working. Thanks again.
