The VEL slider currently does not send CCs at all.

The slider would have to be able to send CC values internally. (CC value = the modulation value used to control the target)

The values could be recorded into sequences.

Once recorded, they could be assigned a CC number. Or have fixed CC numbers dependent on the sequence. (CC number = the identification number of the source)

As a guitarist venturing into these uncharted synthesis waters, to me modulation is easier defined by the type of a final output verses how internally that was achieved, such as:
chorus
vibrato
phaser
flanger
univibe
tremolo
auto-wah

Having any or some of those as internal effects would be highly useful. Until then (or if never done), I can always send and return to guitar pedals or my MC-707 effects, but having them in a portable unit would be killer.

Those are effects. Also nice, but not the same thing and would require much more CPU load. With modulation people mean LFO's, envelopes and/or some form of automation.

True that they aren't what most in the synth world are speaking about, though they are related in that most of those effects are just manipulations of a wav form. While some require a little CPU power, those type effects tend to use much less load than a good reverb algorithm or some exotic delay algorithm (this is why I've seen super-small multi-mod guitar pedals with very little DSP), so some might be do-able. For instance, tremolo is literally just dropping volume periodically, which requires almost no extra CPU. Luckily, I'd enjoy the unit fine without them, but just threw in a vote and comment in case any of it is feasible.

Late comment I know. New BB user here, looking at old threads. It’s great to see how the added LFOs actually enable creating almost all these effects easily. If not with a single pad and appropriately applied LFO modulation, they can be done with two pads playing the same sample, with LFO applied to the right parameter of one of them. Only two I can’t figure out how to replicate are the phaser (don’t understand that effect properly) and univibe (don’t know what that is)

Having looked at the pd patch by Michal Ho and looking at the GUI of BB I do think it would be very simple to have it as an extra source within the modulation slots (speaking from a GUI only perspective that is ) .

Just have a source called "internal", to the right of it you set the amount as usuall and the two empty windows below can be waveform and rate respectively.
As I've seen on Midi-LFO's I would like to set a rate in 1/16,1/14,1/8 etc instead of a general number or bpm. This allows for great sync options!

Any movement on LFO.
I'd settle for just one global LFO if it's too expensive.
The BB is almost my favourite thing ever but I never use it because I need a little bit of LFO.
Willing to switch out other audio processing features for LFO.

It’s almost BB’s 2nd release anniversary, that deserves a V2.0 firmware with : modulation, a few more fx and improved song mode with stems export.

I think otherwise all the other features I’ve asked for this device have all been provided.

But without putting too fine a point on it, I think you are missing the opportunity to focus, with me, on a very important three words... and those words are:

I was totally surprised the BB had no LFO when I got it. I had just assumed it would have LFOs. I still have my S3000XL and that has an LFO per note.
Samplers have had LFOs forever. I treat them like synths with samples instead of oscillators.
The idea you could buy such a fancy device with no LFOs didn't occur to me...
