quite a bit of evolution led up to this 1 minute loop.
    I love the slicer.
I attempted to "dirty" up the sample by resampling it through granular, then slicing. it sorta worked.

had this dark-ish sounding lead and some drums down. was studying something which was talking about this basal layer that supports all that come after it. wanted to see where I could take that, build up on it. This is the end result of that. Sonic Potions LXR for drums, DSI Mopho x4 is the synth, Hologram Microcosm for effects. Blackbox played some of the percussion in slice mode and served as sampler, sequencer and song arranger.

very cool. any feedback on the midifighter? specifically tactile feedback and feel of the buttons.

Blackbox with the glitch loops it's shipped with + Roland TB-3. I added some samples in my DAW (Japanese commercials and a documentation about Negativland).
    I'd call it Industrial.

The blackbox is boss as an external hardware sequencer.
Even though programming the grid by hand can be tricky, it's still way more effective (and faster) than the digitakt in terms of these results.
In this song, after the sample chop was ready, I setup a chord pro sequence in the bb to play out of the micromonsta to match it.
After that, I copied those chords to a new sequence and slimmed it down to use as a bassline.
Once the bassline was set, I turned on probability for several notes at around 75%-90ish% to avoid too much repetition.

Still holding out hope that the knob turn behavior for event probability is reversed.
As-is, it goes from ALWAYS to 1% up to 99%. That's a lot of twisting to get to 80%. So, what I'm dreaming of is the behavior to go from ALWAYS to 99% down to 1%...
    regardless, great feature.

    hope you like it.

picked up a sonic potion lxr drum synth and dsi mopho x4 to pair with the blackbox. this is the first track I made with the trio, with some samples from the twilight zone. the wobbly theremin is from the dsi mopho, a long sample that was sliced and set to play at random.

nice stuff, easy to listen and get into. question for you, how do you get the toms/congas part to sound natural? Are you playing a looped sample for that part or are you laying down a sequence that is played by something?

well it's not so much that I can, rather that no one has said I can't and the blackbox is unassuming enough :P. Yeah I think that would indeed be a bit of a challenge, so much packed into a little box with few controls. The micromonsta looks pretty cool, am also keeping an eye on PreenFM3 kits to be available.
Working...
