The blackbox is boss as an external hardware sequencer.
Even though programming the grid by hand can be tricky, it's still way more effective (and faster) than the digitakt in terms of these results.
In this song, after the sample chop was ready, I setup a chord pro sequence in the bb to play out of the micromonsta to match it.
After that, I copied those chords to a new sequence and slimmed it down to use as a bassline.
Once the bassline was set, I turned on probability for several notes at around 75%-90ish% to avoid too much repetition.

Still holding out hope that the knob turn behavior for event probability is reversed.
As-is, it goes from ALWAYS to 1% up to 99%. That's a lot of twisting to get to 80%. So, what I'm dreaming of is the behavior to go from ALWAYS to 99% down to 1%...
      regardless, great feature.

      hope you like it.

Very cool. You've know your way around the BB as performance tool.

Blackbox with the glitch loops it's shipped with + Roland TB-3. I added some samples in my DAW (Japanese commercials and a documentation about Negativland).
        I'd call it Industrial.

had this dark-ish sounding lead and some drums down. was studying something which was talking about this basal layer that supports all that come after it. wanted to see where I could take that, build up on it. This is the end result of that. Sonic Potions LXR for drums, DSI Mopho x4 is the synth, Hologram Microcosm for effects. Blackbox played some of the percussion in slice mode and served as sampler, sequencer and song arranger.

quite a bit of evolution led up to this 1 minute loop.
            I love the slicer.
I attempted to "dirty" up the sample by resampling it through granular, then slicing. it sorta worked.

Some liquid drum n bass crafted in San Diego, CA. Drum programming done on the Elektron Model:Samples and then recorded onto the Blackbox. Some light use of the Korg NTS-1. All arrangement done on the BB.

this was originally a short loop, which is now the beginning of the track, grew from there. Normally go for 4/4 beat pattern, wanted to try something different here. It's made with a sonic potions lxr as drum machine, dsi mopho x4 on synth duty, some effects processing using a hologram microcosm. Sequencing, sampling and arranging all handled by blackbox. This was first track where I tried to resample all non-drum sounds to a single pad, then do the drum arrangement. Still trying to figure how to do that best with the blackbox.

                Song in Dmin.
The blackbox is sequencing the synths and playing the electric piano loop.
I had a sequence hit the 256-step limit this time around.

                • What's new, y'all? TC Here.

Been really busy w/ other stuff, but i needed a personal project to help take focus off of Pandemic livin'.

I created a little busking board for the BB / OP-1 combo. Here's a short clip of the layout , and then a one-minute mixdown of the beat.

All sampling chopping except the voices are BB. Running, here, through OP-1 for tape tricks and that delicious filter.

                          • I use the blackbox to create sound collages and ambient drone works from my field recordings. I like the granular synthesis mode, multiple audio outputs and the ability to use stereo samples. The album below was created using the blackbox. All the sounds are from field recordings. Some sounds were changed with granular synthesis and pitch shifting to create supplementary sounds and drones. The sequencer was also useful particularly on track #6.
