https://youtu.be/mb1K9ktvxuk I made this really happy with it, Bluebox as the brains, Blackbox providing the beat and the Moog doing generative things.

I created a preset for a pad which I thought really cool. Somewhere in the works made the bass with the mopho and microcosm, didn't fit with the pad though, pad got cut. This is blackbox acting as sequencer, sampler/slicer and song arranger. Other gear used - sonic potions lxr , dsi mopho x4, waldorf streichfett, hologram microcosm.

I'm surprised the BB doesn't get more love for it's sequencing capability (with external hardware).
I know many people don't enjoy working with the grid... never bothered me.
this has a classic feel to me. not sure what genre I'd place it in... everything fits together nicely.

thanks for giving it a listen shankiphonic. I wanted to make something with a classic electro beat pattern, with the kick drum at 1 and 7, though what came out might not exactly be characterized as electro. As far as sequencing, for me that is where the blackbox shines. It's marketed as a sample based groovebox but I really don't need it to be that. What I like about the BB is I can use it to sequence my synthesizer, can use it to record clips of the drums and the synth, then sequence all those clips to make a song. There is an immediacy to it all with the blackbox that for me is conducive to making full tracks.

Only got the BB yesterday but jammed out this dub session just now - https://soundcloud.com/mrtrick/runway-dub Just me firing off sequences and flinging stuff to the delay and reverb.
Soooo much fun to play with!

Hey everyone, Here's a short set I did at a tribute show for The Beatles Friday night. I used my Blackbox to play back Beatles remixes and sound effects that I prepared in Logic Pro. Thanks for checking it out.

Hey all! Thought I'd throw a video up here of the title track off an EP I released last year under my Industrial/Rhythmic Noise project.
Sounds & clips were generated using a Roland MC-707 & Modal Electronics Argon8 going through a Boss MetalZone distortion pedal. Sampled some perc. off a Korg Karma. Song arranged on the Blackbox. Probably won't be composing on the Blackbox again unless there's a song mode overhaul.
