Thanks for the conversation. One additional idea to consider is choke groups. You could use another sample to preempt the first one by making them part of the same choke group.

Ideas:
1. Hold back button and tap the pad (like a shift key)
2. Add a stop button on the first info page, next to the play button
3. Remove cut from the menu on the side under the vel slider and put stop in there? Or add another page of buttons there.
..................... in sample mode switch the launch mode to Toggle and the sample will start and stop as you require
..................... in clip mode switch the Quant Size to None and the clip will start and stop as you require

Stopping a long sample?
How do I stop a long sample without stopping the whole song?
Setup: I have a pad in normal sample mode, in trigger mode, with a long sample, with a long envelope.
Problem: I'm jamming and I trigger it by accident and want to stop it, there are only three ways I've found around it, all of which are cumbersome workarounds:
1. Go to the mixer page and mute it, then later go back and unmute it (doesn't stop the sample, just hides the fact that you can't)
2. Hit stop on the global blackbox playback and start it again (kills the flow when jamming, and a nightmare for improv live performances)
3. Go into the pad settings, change the trigger mode to gate, hit the pad trigger/play button, change it back to trigger again
There has to be a way right? What am I missing?Tags: None
