There is no standard for octave numbering: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbth...&Number=338513

There's no standard, but things generally fall under either a Yamaha or Roland numbering system. https://computermusicresource.com/midikeys.html

It's been discussed approximately a million times on the Sequentix forum.

We should probably have put it in the manual somewhere I suppose, given how often the question comes up.

It's been a while since I tinkered with the manual but there is a mention of the convention Cirklon uses:

            note
Sets the MIDI note to be played
            C0 to G#10
            (MIDI notes 0 to 127)

What it doesn't do is point out there is no standard here, just convention. There are other mentions of it in the manual, for example when talking about the CV output settings. If I work on it again sometime I'll try and remember to add something. People will still ask, of course.
