Yeah I know. I'm just saying that that way I always need to know what happens next in my set. So I can't really improvise with pattern changes and lengths. I can not for example change to another pattern midway through because then there is the note off missing. Even if I play the patterns all the way through, it would require me to always know where I'm going pattern wise since I always need a note off.
If only the gate mode would actually stop the pad from playing when controlling it from my Pyramid, all would be solved.
I can not be the first wanting to have room for improvisation with pattern changes and not have every single detail of a live set pre planned.

Instant sequence launch or gate mode?

Send the same MIDI note command to start and stop Clips and sequences. The first starts - the second stops.Leave a comment:

Unfortunately it does not work any better. It still requries me to know what pattern I come from or go to, because the need of a separate note to toggle it off
Not sure if the issue is that the Pyramid is actually not stopping when slaved to my Octatrack, only paused, when I press stop on my Octa.
But I still send a Note off message from the Octa when pressing stop.
Do you know what a clip is expecting for it to stop its playback if it is not a Note off?Leave a comment:

All would be solved if I could simply trigger the pads via my Squarp Pyramid. But it seems that the Pyramid does not send a proper Note off (or whatever the Blackbox expects to stop a pad) when using the gate mode for clips. So the playback of the pad is not stopped when I stop the Pyramid. The pad keeps playing until the end.

Instant sequence launch or gate mode?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to synchronise triggering of sequences instantly when using external gear to control the Blackbox.
So I'm trying to use sequences or song mode instead. But the issue is that I can not find a way to trigger a sequence instantly instead of being queued up. And then there is the toggle on/off issue for sequences that results in the sequences also needing a note off to toggle them on/off.
This makes it impossible for me to arrange things so that I do not need to know what I will play next, since currently I need to trigger the playback of pads/sequences at the end of the previous pattern to queue up the pattern that comes after.
Hope I explained it well enough.
