    My BLACKBOX keeps on restarting.

I just purchased a blackbox on the 2nd hand market. It came with the unit by itself, no SD or anything else with it.
I quickly got on the forums, read what to do, and went to work.
I' formatted a SanDisk Extreme pro 512gb sd card to FAT.
I put the latest firmware on the SD card 3.0.9 and updated the firmware. That worked.
Then I had to put the sounds on there, downloaded the sounds, I think around 5 or 6 gigs and put them on the SD card.
I then turned on my Blackbox.
Now... every 10 seconds the blackbox keeps on restarting and I can't do anything on it.
    What is going on?
    Please help.

    regards,

    aram

And I am using the USB cable that came with my Elecktron devices to power it on, and connecting it to a powered Anker hub. I don't think the issue is my USB power connection.

Hello! Blackbox is sensitive to power and i wouldnt run it from any hub. Try using a phone charger brick, that you know is good.

Regarding reboots happening only after youve put things on the SD card, i really dont know.
I had files reboot my unit before, but it happened when i was running Blackbox off a powerbank and tried to delete a huge folder.
      CPU power usage spike perhaps.

I did that as well. I used an ANKER usb power supply, and same issues. Plugged it into a unpowered USB hub connected to my hub, and same issues.

Have you tried the wall plug adaptor that comes with the Blackbox?

            A quick update....
            After some troubleshooting.
When I take the microSD card out, it just gets on the intro screen and just, works (without sounds) and then when I insert the microSD card it starts crashing again.

Is there a certain way to drag-drop the sounds? I followed the instructions. I think.

Inside the SD card are the following that was downloaded from this site:

            SD Card -
            DRUMS
            LOOPMASTERS
            PRESETS
            SETTINGS.TML
            SOUNDTRACKLOOPS
            SYMPLESOUND

I purchased it 2nd hand, and it came with nothing except the blackbox. No microSD either.

give it its own power supply & a good quality cable, not too long. a printer cable isn't really heavy-duty enough for the current the BB draws; that's why they pack one with it. :-/

update the BB to the latest stable release here- I have the newest on my three, & did five hours work on one of them last night- sequencing, playing with multisamples, the granular thing.... you're going to have fun once you get the thing behaving!
two of mine were second-hand but they came with their original boxes & bits. it's better that way- you know it's been looked after.

have you tried different sd card? if samples that you put onto a different card also reboot, perhaps theres something about actual files that you use.

                    Try the cables from https://myvolts.co.uk/MV_search

Ensure you are using a proper USB cable meant for power. Not all are capable of this. Our su[applied cable works great. We also sanction the DJ Tech Tools Chroma Cable and the Oyiade d+ cables.
