External midi Trigger for sequences

I would like to 'play sequences' from a set of pads to trigger/toggle the sequences when I want them.
I imagine I would set tools/global midi to something else to give me this ability, so I don't also play pads or keys using the same notes.
It would be awesome to have keys pads and sequences under my control.

I currently use Launchkey25 mk1 and a nanopad2. Possibly a learn function may work for this?

thanks Steve I found it, but there is a small problem the 1.7 manual and user guide say it is E3 that triggers the sequencers.
but in Ableton Live lite 9 & Studio One 4 pro and Midiview (pictured) it says it is E2 that triggers sequences - perhaps you might update the manuals/docs

There are two different references for Middle C. C3 & C4. You will see this discrepancy between various software and hardware. That is partly why I speak in MIDI note #s. They are always consistent.
