Date and Time Clock (File Stamp)

Having a internal date and time so that a file has a creation or edit date when viewing them in the OSX finder or Windows explorer.

Lots of usefulnes for finding most recent files to backup or searching/sorting chronologically amongst other things.

Agree...I just checked the recording metadata and the dates are all useless. It'd be good to make them capture accurate info.

This would require the user to set the correct time and date every time the unit is powered on. You either need to store and increment the time internally (which requires an internal battery) or you need an external source like special radio signals or network time. The blackbox can neither receive external time sources nor it has a built-in battery.
