Easy way to divide clip loop length by 2, 4, 8, etc. during playback

Sorry if this has already been wished!

I mostly use the BB as a live looper - and I guess I'm not the only one.

It would be really convenient if there was an easy way to reduce the loop length of a clip by even values, i.e. by 2, 4, 8 and even 16.

This without stopping playback.

Among other, to get that DJ reapeat effect found on so many machines.

The only way i see this without breaking existing functionality is to add a power of 2 steps switch (on/off).

For my part, I do not appreciate the limits imposed by the power of 2, not only for songwriting reasons but also for reasons of release time for certain loops. For example cutting off a piano loop does not yield the same musical results than cutting off a drum loop, given different release times.

The power of two could be a shift key function though. this way you could have both options available. I would appreciate this also in Sequence length and pitch (on pad level). So either you go up and down by single steps or in bigger intervalls that make sense for each function.
