  • sidechain compression

good morning friends. is it possible for the bb to get sidechain compression or ducking as i've heard it referred to in the future? i'm excited with how much has been implemented since day 1.

I agree it would be nice, currently I’m sidechaining downstream and it’s a pain. How would it receive the sidechain signal? I think it would be good to allow us to use one of the input channels or another BB track. In the case of the latter, I’d mute the BB channel like a ghost track in Ableton.

ther eis a little workaround by assigning an LFo to the volume of for instance a kick: TRIANGLE, SAW, SQUARE

u basically assign the LFo to a sounds volume. and pla y around with the parameters of the lfo and the depth untill u feel that firm punch tha t feels like sidechaining

That trick works for four to the flour beats only though.
