Live input

Would be really nice to be able to monitor the input live without having to have a pad open and set to record monitor.
This would allow us not only to have an input for hearing a synth or the like that we are sequencing from the BB but would also allow us to have an live effect return that would make the individual outs even more powerful.

I am not sure to understand your request: you mean to use the internal effects without a pad playing through them?

About monitoring the input, what I find confusing on the blackbox is that Rec Mon actually monitors the In through one of the 3 Outs, albeit without taking into account the internal FX chain. Why does it not simply or alternatively monitor the In and _not_ send the monitored signal to the Out (except Mix Out) as long as no pad’s been actually recorded?
