    Line In Pan

    Hello

When using the Rec Input option L+R it would be great if there was a PAN option.

This would be useful for those like me that have a -6 to -8db difference between both channels and would give us the ability to level them correctly

    I'm using Firmware 2.9.1

    Thanks in Advance!

You’re saying that if you try to record a stereo line input, it’s not maintaining its stereo balance?

For example, connect a device with a stereo out (e.g., computer or phone) to the stereo line input of your Blackbox. Play a mono sine wave on the device. Arm a pad to record L+R. Monitor with headphones. Questions:

    1. Does the sine wave still sound centered through your headphones, before recording?
    2. Are the on screen levels of L and R equal? I think your post is telling us no.
    3. After recording, does the sine wave sound centered?

It sounds like you’re asking for a feature to correct a defect. Better to correct the defect.

Have you tried adjusting the input level to accomplish this?

        Hello

First of all thanks for the reply, you might be right and this could be a harware issue, tested with multiple sources (even synth sine) and always the same result. I've also seen others in the forum with similar behaviour.

In my particular case, even with Gain at -96dB and input cable disconnected, the input meter displays left -21.8dB and right -29.4dB, so when I get some input signal, the signal is always too hot

Well time to look for a place to fix my Blackbox as it is out of warranty

        Cheers guys

It sounds like you might need to recalibrate your blackbox. Warranty is of no concern here. Please contact us directly (from the contact link at the top of this page) and we can help you.
