I can imagine VOLUME label in Edit screen of Piano Roll Edit Menu too. After you select it you can tap the note and change its volume with one of the knobs.
(Btw I like the Caustic 3 implements volume/automation editing)

+100 for velocity editing - implemented numerically or visually in the midi piano roll editor!!!

OK, I'm going to put forward a bare bones basic suggestion of how velocity editing could be implemented.

I realise this suggestion may unpopular with some because it might fall short of what they would hope for. Or perhaps this suggestion is unnecessary because the team at 1010music already have something more sophisticated in mind.

However, if the development team have other priorities at the moment, perhaps this suggestion may be easier to make happen in the foreseeable future.

So here goes: Make the touch screen velocity slider from the pads page available in the sequencer piano roll page. Any note entered on the grid will have a velocity matching the slider. That's all.

What you won't get in this suggestion is the ability to edit the velocity of an existing note on the grid, you would simply have to delete that note then replace it with a new note with a different velocity, set by the slider.
There will continue to be no visual indication if the velocity of notes in the grid, you will have to use your ears.

Hopefully this suggestion would be a balance between as much standalone workflow improvement as possible with the minimum of firmware rewrite

    +1 Velocity editing!
First post right here: for the love of god make velocity editing quick and easy, maybe an additional click on the "info" button could bring up some bars like most saw sequencers? Or I like the color change/knob idea as well. BB was an impulse purchase and I just assumed velo edits were bog standard. Oh well. Still lots of fun to be had and very intuitive, quick workflow otherwise.

It's definitely the most important feature and should be prioritized above all other requests

I'm just going to bump this thread.

I've been browsing through the forum and I see velocity editing pops up multiple times. Sometimes as a request in wish lists for more than one thing, and often in suggestions for alternative sequencers like step sequencers or list editors, and listed in requests for general automation editing.

Could velocity editing for the sequencer be one of the most popular requests on the wishlist?

There is a crude work around if you are using the BB standalone.

You have a sequence with notes of say full velocity.

In the Seqs page, select the sequence so that it is armed for playing and recording.

Go to the Pads page and adjust the slider to say half velocity.

Go to the keys page (the slider setting made on the pads page will be retained on the keys page).

Press play and rec, enter a bunch of notes using one key on the keyboard (use a higher or lower note than any of your existing full velocity notes, so they are easy to find on the sequence grid page).

Go to the Seqs page. Press info to take you to the grid page. Use the encoders to select and move the new half velocity notes to where you want them, deleting any unwanted new and old notes as required.

Edit: It seems you don't have to delete the old notes. Just use the encoders to move the new notes (with a different velocity) on top of the old notes, only the new note/velocity will be heard.
The new note takes priority whether you are increasing or decreasing the velocity, even when the pad is set to poly.
Kind of makes the work around a little less long winded.

I have only tried this so far with drum kits/folders all loaded to one pad. I haven't tried it with pitched samples yet.

To be honest I tend to rely on external sequencers because there is no way to edit velocity. I am mainly using the BB as a clip recorder/player at the moment because of this.
Something as small as being able to edit not velocity would make a huge difference whether sequencing external gear or the internal sample engine.

Some have suggested that once the velocity slider is set on the Pad page, that value should be retained when you switch to the Sequence page and start entering notes.
This would at least be a "work around", although a visual indication of a notes velocity in the Sequence page would also be nice.

I have to admit that I can't play keyboard or finger drum for sh*t, that is my shortfall but I know I am not the only one.
For people like me, being able to edit note and velocity is essential for a sequencer to be usable.

Yes, since getting my launchpad pro. The BB is a sound module now. Not necessarily bad. Just interesting others have concluded the same thing/solution. Its a great combo, better than the Beatstep Pro.

So, a post about velocity. I already mentioned this in another post but there was no reaction.
When you use the BB to control an external synth, if you put the velocity slider to the max it should output a value of 127 but the BB sends a value of 0.
If you put the slider to its minimum it sends a value of 1 instead of 0.
    This is really annoying.
    Voilà, Cheers.

The LFO requests have been knocking around for a while too.

    Agreed.

I guess 1010 have been working on some new products and then the Covid issue has probably slowed any kind of BB progress down. That last update looked to be a bit of a slog too. So hopefully the velocity editing, lfo and perhaps some extra effects will be addressed next.
