Distortion - 12 inputs

Hi guys,
I am using the bluebox together with my modular and I realized that sometimes, if one sound is dropping once the gain too much, I get a constant distortion on the sound, till I restart the bluebox then it’s gone.
not sure if it is really the overgaining of the channel. Usually it happens on my stereo channel.
any ideas?

Hello,

you should maybe check the Bluebox compression settings (Main Configuration Screen):
- try with COMPRESSOR: OFF first
- then ON with Auto Mkup: OFF and Gain: 0dB
- check the Mode in case it's in Expander

I don't understand why restart would solve the issue, unless there's a bug...

Another thing to mention is: with modular levels, the input GAIN should be pretty low (if not at the minimum) unless you attenuate a lot your modular output.

Drella22 unfortunately it can’t be the compressor settings as I get the distortion only on one of the channels.
Not on all channels. When I unplug the cable for example for that channel and plug it inside again it is still there only a restart of the bluebox helps and then it runs smooth again.

this is an absolutely killer for using it live I get it on different channels, so I guess it’s not a hardware problem.

gains are not overdriven I usually set them quiet low and rather work with volumne levels.

If you can send a video or some solid steps to reproduce, I would like to take a closer look. I need as much as you can provide to recreate it on my end.

I'm wondering if any solution for this was found. I seem have gotten a similar issue (with modular level sound) from one day to the next with no apparent changes to my setup, power etc. Profoundly confusing.

This issue was resolved in 1.2.7

Thanks! My issue must have been of a different nature then, but it seems to have disappeared when I upgraded to a better microSD card.

Good to hear. For bluebox, my favorite card is the SanDisk Extreme Pro A2 128GB. The bluebox benefits from cards 128GB and larger as they allow for larger write chunks.
