2 month old bluebox is non responsive.

my bluebox will not come out of sleep mode! it wont wake up. pressing the 'b' button does nothing.
I am using the usb provided, i purchased my bluebox brand new and it is plugged into a heavy duty surge protector. while troubleshooting i updated the firmware on a new 128gb micro sd, and there is no response whatsoever. what on earth could be the issue?
