    Bluebox randomly crash during recording

    Hi everyone,

As indicated in the title, the screen of my bluebox freezes at random moments when I record.
I can still hear the sound, the bluebox's internal effects work, but I can't change anything, and of course, the audio files generated when recording on the SD card are unusable. I have to restart my bluebox.

Sometimes I don't get a crash at all.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem?

I am on the latest firmware and bought my bluebox about 3 months ago. I have always had this problem.

Please always share your firmware version as a number. "Latest" is ambiguous. Next, how are you powering the bluebox?

Then I realize that it is version 1.1.3 and not the latest version 1.2.7 that was on my SD card.
      So I did the update.

As for the power supply, the bluebox is powered by the power outlet via USB

Edit: The Bluebox continues to freeze even with the latest firmware (1.2.7).

        ((^^ this is also ambiguous))

It is important to be more specific when providing answers. Which power cable? Which wall adapter? What else is sharing the outlet? These are not inconsequential.

Oh so sorry, I'll try to be as accurate as possible.

First of all, the power from the wall outlet (220 volts) is split into three, by a power strip and each split goes to an APC type power strip (with circuit breaker).

Then I have a USB adapter plugged into one of the power strips (see photo). This is the one that came with the bluebox if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't have tried to put anything else I think.

And between my bluebox and the adapter, I have a simple switch to turn it on and off. I don't have any particular specification on that.

The rest of the equipment that shares the power strip is an elektron Digitakt and an iConnectivity mioXM. I would like to point out that the crashing problem occurs even when the other two devices are not powered.

As for the two other APC power strips coming out of the wall, various other equipment is plugged in, as well as the computer. I don't know if you would need a detailed list of each of them.

This issue is likely due to your switch and usb cable. Switch back to the usb cable that came with the Bluebox and see if your issue persists.

Factory cable looks like this. ^

I removed the USB switch, I don't notice any freeze of the screen after several hours.
Also, I was already using the USB cable provided with the bluebox, so no worries there.
I will keep you informed if it happens again.

Thank you very much for your responsiveness
