    SD Card Issues

Hi there. I am running 1.2.7 on the box and the supplied card is working just fine. However, I just got a San Disk Extreme 128GB SDXC A2 card for my Bluebox and am having issues getting it to work properly.

If I format it as EXFAT I get lots of weird behavior in the Bluebox: audio dropouts on playback and intermittant connection with the card. If I format it as FAT32 the Bluebox does not recognize it.

I have tried formatting it in OSX and Windows 10. I have utilized OS formatting, SD Card Formatter and yet another third party software trying to get this to work right.

Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have an answer but I can possibly speed things up for you. You supplied the firmware number, which is great (and required) but the info on how you are powering the Bluebox will also be needed, someone will be along to ask that info soon, maybe you can add it before they ask. You'll want to include the cable (3rd party? Supplied?), the charger, and what the charger is plugged into.

While I am using the supplied power adapter plugged into a power strip, I had swapped out the USB cable. After plugging in with the supplied cable all the problems went away! Thanks, sirshannon!

For future reference, is there a specific kind of USB cable to use with the Bluebox? I had no idea that there were any differences in these cables.

You can search the forum for this specific topic as it exists in multiple locations. We only support the included cable, the DJ Tech Tools Chroma cable, and the Oyaide d+ cables (in any length). Using a cable not capable of providing enough power causes all sorts of well-documented (on this forum) mayhem.
