I honestly think I'm moving towards a patch bay like this Samson.
Have all gear plugged into the rear. Then use the 1010music cables to patch in to which ever gear I want to use for a session.

What I did is make my own cables using Neutrik NTP3RC-B 3.5mm TRS plugs, parallel 2 conductor cable terminated in 2 Neutrik NP2X-BAG 6.35 mm TS plugs.

Be warned about the 3.5 plugs: the size is perfect, but sometimes these can be a bit hard to get off the Bluebox or the Blackbox, these fit tight and due to the L shape and how close them are one to another it can be a bit difficult to apply force in the correct direction, just have a little bit of patience and do not force it out.

All BB I/O goes to the back of a patchbay.

3 pole 3.5 mm audio plug, solder termination, chuck type strain relief, bushing, black housing, gold contacts The only right-angled metal bodied 3.5 mm jack plug with chuck type strain relief for secure cable retention. It accepts cables from 2.0 to 4.5 mm.

I do the same but with angled 6.35mm plugs I took from Boss patch cables. These are the smallest plugs you can solder on the market right now. The Y cable is COTS from Cordial.
Here's how it looks like and a comparison with regular angled plugs.

Getting a Bluebox end of the week and now in search for cables.
Looking for Y splitters. 2x TS 6.3 male angled > TRS 3.5 male straight. No longer than 50cm. (different colours would be nice)
I don't think 1010 sells them so I'm hoping someone here knows where to get them.

I found these but they're pretty expensive and bulky connectors.
Y Cable High quality Y cable with Amphenol plugs, 3.5 mm stereo jack male to 2x 6.3 mm angled jack mono, Nickel plated contacts, Flat cable, Very low loss, Colour: Black, Length: 0.5 m, Made in Germany

Anyone got a tip for cheaper and less bulky?

Sadly the answer is DIY. Proper cables with angled plugs are so hard to find. Take a cable like this and swap the 6.3mm part with slimmer plugs. The slimmest you can solder (see my post above) on the market are these (BPC series cables) by Boss. Next bigger ones are the Squareplaug SP400 (they claim to be the slimmest but not true anymore) and recently Rean came up with the RP2RCF which are slightly bigger but have this rounded corner which might be useful.

I went for these instead. I hope they're long enough, it's gonna be close. It was either 30cm or 180cm and 180cm was just way too long.

I can remember seeing this cables but they don't make a "professional" impression and I had a problem with "consumer" cables once. I hope they work for you! Keep us posted here if you like. I'd have taken the 180 for sure because my demands in my setup always changed over time. Making a cable longer is impossible while managing the remaining cable is pretty easy.

I'm not them but anyway. The ones with the copper edges are the Neutriks.

I use the original y cables from 1010, but sorry to say … the quality is not the best. I used them 1 time on a gig . And some have are broken. Because the cap with the 1010 print come off. I had to glue them back and some cables have shorts. So that is a big pity.

Hi, all. I'm using a bunch of 1xmale 3.5 TRS -> 2xmale TS y-split cables from Adam Hall. They fit the bluebox, which is great, but there's significant bleed between the channels (i.e., if I have input 1 set as a pair of mono channels 1 and 2, and have only signal coming through 1 and mute it, I can still hear it in 2). I've got some vintage gear with pretty low output where I need to crank the gain quite a bit, in those channels it's well over hearing level.

Can anyone recommend some cables that do _not_ bleed? Well, that might be near physically impossible, but at least that limit the bleeding to a minimum.

I’ve used these to connect both the blue and the black to my patchbay and I’m super happy with them.
The cable used is Sommer Onyx 2025

I have tons of ideas that I've tried but those ideas aren't applicable universally, they change with each setup. I'm currently using a DF Audio Minibay with the outputs going to the bluebox via 1/4" to 1/8" TRS cables.
