There are two options:
1. create a duplicate pad for your kick and set to different output in the pad config page, e.g. Out3.
2. If you're OK with a mono out of your mix:
- Assign all your pads except the kick to Out:1 on each pad's config page
- Assign the kick pad to Out:1/2
Out 1 will contain the mix of all pads and Out 2 will only contain the kick.

Any pad assigned to a mono output is removed from the 1/2+FX outputs. The only workaround I can think of is to assign a pad to a stereo pair and pan to L or R to effectively have a mono/single output. This should also appear on the 1/2+FX outputs.

For reference, this was not the original implementation. However, 2ish years of complaints from our users prompted this change. You will find a lot of people very happy with his change.

The output routings in the software represent virtual outputs. Assign these first. Then push TOOLS 3x to see the output routing menu. From here, turn the knobs to assign the virtual outputs to the physical jacks. Pads assigned to a mono [virtual] output will be removed from the 1+FX and 2+FX outputs.

I'm struggling to get my head around how this routing works. I have a Rample too so I think I'm expecting a similar behavior. I want to output the MIX to 7/8 and also take an output of pad 2 (the kick in my case) to send to a side chain. I thought output 1-6 would relate to the pad 1-6 but either I get everything out of 1 jack, or no kick in my mix 7/8.

Can someone walk me through how to configure this?

You have the 'software outs' you select in the pad. After that you have the 'hardware outs' you 'remap' with the 'software outs'' in the Tools section.

'Software ouputs 1+2' will have also the FX's, but not the pads outs set to others (like 3,4,5 etc). This was the latest big change many asked for (thanks Steve).

You have to go into the individual sample pad and set where the output goes to, PLUS you have to go into tools to set what the outputs are (7&8 default as master pads unless you change them.) I just made a post saying how confusing I think this is - I wish the default was that pads mapped to their numbered outs, and you could change each in settings. As is goes now you load a sample and it automatically sets 1&2 as the output destination, NOT the pad number it's loaded on. - makes zero sense to me.

I went to each pad but cannot work out how to set the output please advise ? - thanks

maybe I can help... Originally, we set 7&8 as master outputs as a convenience so you can monitor everything without the need for patching everything. This configuration still gave the micro more individual outputs than any of our modules - users were unhappy. We responded to that by allowing you to set output assignments in the TOOLS > Output menu. Yes, all pads are, by default, sent to 1&2 - another convenience. If we mapped every pad to mono outputs by default - we would for sure hear about that, too as not everyone would want that either. The other consideration is the FX return.

It is difficult to please everyone. You may have to turn an extra knob or two but that seems better than not having that option at all.

How do you set each pad to output individually please ?

FX are returned to Output 1/2. If you leave 7&8 as Mas L&R, 7&8 will output a stereo mix of all outputs, including FX. This is the old behavior.
If you set 7&8 to Output 7&8, you will get 8 mono/4 stereo outputs where FX and Comp appear on 1&2. If you need 8 unique outputs you will need to not use Comp/FX.
