Pad triggered by midi has different behavior with cv/gate

    Hi,
I've got my bitbox micro a few weeks ago, and now I've sampled some kontakt libraries thru the multisampling functionality. So I've sampled a tabla sounds in multisampling, the samples in different notes haven't got a different pitch but differents ways to plays. Well, I've sampled two octaves like this. When I trigger the notes with midi, I find the two octaves I've sampled exactly. But when I try to trigger this pad with CV/Gate, it doesn't seem trigger the correct samples... maybe it play in wrong pitch or something, but it doesn't play correctly. I've setted the gate (ext 2) and CV (ext1) in tools menu, and I've configured the pad pitch modulated by (ext1) with V/oct on .
Could you tell me if I miss something in the config? I'm freaking out trying to figure out what's happen and how to solve it.
    Thanks!

I have the same problem. When I trigger with cv/gate the multisample just plays the first sample of the multisample and pitch that sample up or down instead of playing the correct sample for that pitch. It is easy to se visually on the pad. Higher notes plays 'faster' than lower notes, which should not be the case if the correct sample were played.

I see, that makes sense. Do you found a solution for that behaviour ?

I have tried to trigger a Multisample with CV/Gate ("\SoundtrackLoops\SL Video Game Phrases" example from the manual, page 31) and first I had the same problem like you described.
Only the same 1 sample triggered with different pitch.

Then I tried different lower octave CVs and finally I found the correct range.

If you "Load All" on a folder of samples, the device will load them chromatically starting at C2. If there is a RootNote stored to a sample it will show up on that key at the original pitch.

I see, thank you very much for that clarification! Knowing that this should work makes all the difference.

@Steve but will the same apply with V/Oct? When a specific note is reached for which a multi sample already exists, will that be played instead of repitching the original sample to that note?

The sampler should always play the closest wav (with a saved RootNote).
        Working...
