the h/phone output is whatever you want it to be, not just a mix of all outputs. just set up the 'cue' output to be custom instead of master.
level-wise, it's about the same. I don't know if the hardware is set up differently to drive lower impedances,...

I've probably mentioned this before somewhere, but rather than change the entire preset, I just reload the sample(s) under each pad.
even if, by accident or design, you start to reload samples into a pad that's being played, it still does it quickly...
