Yes seems like problem was in the extension cable, despite being the best one i had here. Changed for the short one and seems to hold so far.

yes i used the provided power adapter, device port not used, controller midi comes in via 3,5mm jack.

+1 for sidechain, in fact does not have to be fully fledged compressor, just ducker
